BIOGRAPHY
Fabio di Ojuara was born in Brazil in 1958, but lives and works in Brazil and Austria. Member of the Association of Artists Potiguares, he works with painting, sculpture, installation and Performance.
As a person, he embraces change. Coupled with the influences of Dadaism, a robust movement that reflects the chaos of humanity, Fabio reflects both spirits in his artistic work, by use of symbolic signs and unconventional forms of interpretation. In 2006 he founded the slogan: “Now, every shit is art” by the mail art and among others through his performances in Vienna, Paris, Berlin and at the Venice Biennale from 2007 to 2015, sparking a widespread controversy.
In 2015, Fabio di Ojuara participated in “1st Venice Triennale – In the Name of Freedom in the Art” in Venice Palazzo Albrizzi.
In Fabio di Ojuara’s paintings, installations, interventions and inter-urban sculptures always his concern for the environment is shown. Fabio di Ojuara’s contribution “SOMETHING” to Biennale Arte Dolomiti is the result of his art residency program in Cibiana di Cadore, whereupon he used mostly locally found materials.
